Yep... we've been here for awhile! 21 years in fact!
It all began back in 1990 when Richie Fitzgerald and his family started the North West's first and leading surf shop, Surfworld. It started with a tiny shop selling bars of wax & leashes. Today Surfworld Bundoran boasts a massive floor space jam packed with everything you need to go surfing.
Over the last 20 years the Bundoran surfing scene has grown and Surfworld Bundoran has grown with it, to become one of the most recognised names in the core Irish surfing industry.
The feel of a locally owned, grass roots and all core surf retailer still holds pride and place in our shop. Our store offers a vibrant place to browse for wetsuits, surfboards, clothing and accessories, with expert and friendly staff always on hand to offer assistance.
Of recent years, we now offer a surf academy and surf school catering for all levels of surfers... first timers, beginners, intermediate, advanced and elite.
Surf Coach Ireland
Richie started Ireland's first and only Surf Coaching Academy 'Surf Coach Ireland' in the summer of 2009. Since it's launch it has been leading the way in teaching and progressing surfers of all levels.
Richie has only the best local surf instructors working with him and guarantees a small student to instructor ratio to ensure all of his clients get the ultimate surfing experience. He offers first time surf lessons, beginner surf lessons, improver surf lessons, intermediate surf lessons, advanced surf coaching, surf bootcamps and pro surfer weekends - something for everybody whatever level of fitness and standard of surfer!
