Denny Irish Surf Team- Day 2 Eurosurf 09, JerseyThe Open surfers commenced competition at Eurosurf '09 taking place in Jersey this week. Liam Joyce was first of the Irish in heat 3. He finished 2nd progressing to the next round as did Ollie O'Flaherty in heat 6. Owen Murphy and Hugh Galloway finished 3rd in heat 12 and 13 respectively but the double elimination format allows them another opportunity to progress. Later in the day Damien Conway and Ronan Oertzen progressed from heats 19 and 22 to move into the second round.
