Get out on the water with Surfworld’s wide range of rental boards and wetsuits. Choose from 8ft and 9ft foamies, beginner-friendly hardboards, performance shortboards and longboards.

Our team will help you choose equipment suited to your experience and advise where to surf around Bundoran based on the conditions that day. All surfboard rentals include a complimentary wetsuit, booties and roof straps if needed.

Softboard and hardboard packages include complimentary boots, gloves, a hood and roof straps if needed.

What equipment is available?

We offer learner foam boards, beginner hardboards, epoxy beginner boards, epoxy shortboards and fibreglass shortboards. Our rental wetsuits are 5mm C-Skins and Rip Curl.

Do I need surfing experience?

Before renting a softboard, we recommend that you have taken a beginner surf lesson and understand the basics of surfing.

To rent a hardboard, you must be a competent surfer with a good understanding of swells, wind, rip currents and tides. Our team can help you choose the right board for your ability.

How do I hire equipment?

Pop into the Surfworld shop on the day. Our team will help you choose your equipment, complete a rental form and arrange the required deposit before you head out.

What time can I collect my equipment?

The shop is open 10am–5pm, seven days a week. Arrive early to make the most of your day on the water.

What does a one-day rental cover?

A one-day rental covers the day’s use, with equipment returned by 5pm. The price is the same whether you surf for one hour or spend the whole day enjoying the waves.

Is equipment available to rent every day?

We rent on most days, provided conditions are safe. Our team will advise which beach in Bundoran or the surrounding area is best suited to your ability and the conditions that day.

When do I need to return my equipment?

All equipment must be returned by 5pm on your agreed return date.

Late returns incur a minimum charge of one additional day’s rental. Please return everything in the same condition you received it. Damage will incur an additional charge to cover repair or replacement.

Can I rent for more than one day?

Yes. We offer three-day and five-day rentals at the prices above. Speak to our team if you’d like to arrange a longer hire.

Payment is required upfront, and your deposit must remain with us for the full rental period. You are responsible for storing the equipment securely overnight. Any loss or damage will incur an additional charge.

What is required as a deposit?

You’ll need to leave photo ID and a credit card with our team while your equipment is out on hire. These are held for the duration of your rental to help ensure the safe return of all equipment.
